Otsego County Fall Favorite Places To Visit
I love fall. There are so many fun things to do in the fall and one of my favorite family activities is hopping in the car and visiting great places all within about 30 minutes of Oneonta.
One stop that's a must is the Fly Creek Cider Mill in Fly Creek, NY. You can't beat the mill pond with all the ducks and geese that you can feed talk about sampling tons of delicious foods! There's no way you'll leave there without all kinds of treats.
Another family favorite is Willy's Farm & Cider Mill, just outside Schenevus, NY. When you take a wagon ride to the top of the hill at this family owned farm, the view is stunning in any weather, let alone on a gorgeous fall day with colorful leaves decorating the landscape. Make sure you treat yourself to a warm, freshly made cinnamon sugar donut, and of course wind your way through the fun corn maze and the big barn filled with delicious baked goods and handcrafted gifts ALL made by the Gartung family.
Another activity I love in the fall is a visit to any one of our state parks in the county. Gilbert Lake State Park (outside of Laurens) is always beautiful for a walk, along with the Betty and Wilbur Davis State Park in Worcester. Glimmerglass State Park in Cooperstown is wonderful as well, hugging the shores of Otsego Lake.
Below are a few pictures from the various places mentioned above...
