The Otsego County Department of Health reports that as of March 31, there are 16 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county. Of those confirmed cases, the ages of the infected range from 20 to 75 years. To date, one person has died from the virus and one has recovered and been released from isolation. Currently, the remaining 14 people are in isolation.

Any time there is a confirmed case, there is a process of identifying who the person had contact with and how they may possibly have contracted it.

The health department is pleading with county residents to STAY AT HOME as much as possible to slow the spread of the virus. If you must go out to a public place or to work, immediately following, wash or sanitize your hands.
