Online Weddings Okay in New York Thanks to Coronavirus
Love cannot be snuffed by the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing.
Over the weekend, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed Executive Orders allowing New Yorkers to obtain a marriage license remotely and allowing clerks and any authorized officiant to perform marriage ceremonies using online video technology.
The Governor tried to hide his bemusement as he informed reporters of the start of the age of the “ZOOM wedding.”
On the flip side, there have been widespread reports world-wide of a huge jump in the number of couples filing for divorce after being kept in closer than normal quarters during mandated social isolation.
