Oneonta to Host MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Competition April 26
The city of Oneonta announced that a local qualifier for the MLB Pitch, Hit, & Run competition will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 26 at Ted Christman Field in Neahwa Park.
Children may compete at any time within this time frame. Participation is free and open to all boys and girls ages 7-14.
To pre-register, a parent or guardian must submit an entry form and release of liability to the recreation department located adjacent to Hodges pond in Neahwa Park. Pre-registration is recommended. A valid birth certificate must be presented.
Forms are available at the recreation office and at oneonta.ny.us/recreation. Event day registrations will also be accepted.
Winners of local events advance to compete at a sectional event scheduled for Sunday, May 19 at Damaschke Field. There they will face other winners of local contests that were held throughout the region for a chance to advance to a team championship at an MLB stadium.
