Oneonta News: Yard Waste Pickup and Light Pole Relocation
A heads up if you use the City of Oneonta’s Dietz St. parking lot. On Tuesday, March 10, crews will be relocating a light pole meaning a large portion of the lot will close from Monday (March 9) at 6:00 p.m. until Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. Additional public parking is available in the parking garage, the Westcott parking lot, the Wall Street parking lot, and along adjacent streets. On the heels of the beginning of the spring season,The City of Oneonta curbside residential brush and yard waste collection program starts up again in April and runs through November. Please have brush and yard waste out no sooner than the weekend before your scheduled pickup to prevent possible code violation. The amount of brush and yard waste that has been placed out citywide dictates how quickly your area will be reached, but each area of the City is typically completed by Friday of the scheduled week. Major storms may affect the pickup schedule. Brush and yard waste cannot be left out between collection dates.

City residents are reminded that they may bring brush and yard waste to the disposal site on Silas Lane on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. For more information regarding yard waste pick-up click here.
