Oberacker Replaces Sen. Seward; Is Sworn In

State Senator Peter Oberacker (R/C – Schenevus) took the oath of office today for his first New York State Senate term representing the 51^st Senate District.  Senator Oberacker was sworn in at the Town of Maryland courthouse where his mother, Carol Oberacker, served as a town justice for over two and half decades.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Senator Oberacker limited the gathering to a small circle of family and close friends.  Oberacker takes over the seat from longtime area representative Sen. Jim Seward of Milford, who retired this year.
