New York is continuing to crack down on underage drinking and the use of fake IDs to purchase alcohol at summer concerts and at bars this season. It’s part of the Operation Prevent campaign which in April and May resulted in nearly 140 ticket issues. Authorities will be conducting enforcement sweeps at concert venues as well as other locations where underage concertgoers are likely to gather. Sweeps will also occur at popular summer bars to make sure everyone consuming alcohol is of legal drinking age.
