The New York State Thruway will become a cashless tolling highway by the end of 2020. That news was announced Monday by the New York State Thruway Authority Board of Directors who are putting together the team to implement the $355 million project. There are currently 52 toll booths along the 450 miles of roadway between exit 15 in Woodbury to Exit 61 in Ripley plus the Berkshire Spur. Those without an E-Z Pass will be billed by mail.
