When No Doubt dropped their first in-studio webisode for the band’s upcoming album a few weeks ago, they teased the new track ‘Push and Shove’ — and it turns out they focused on that song for a reason: It’s the title track for the new record, due on September 25.

The band made the announcement in a message to fans that also includes the name of the first single, ‘Settle Down,’ which is heading to radio on July 16. It’ll be part of a busy summer for the band; they’re scheduled to appear at the Teen Choice Awards on July 22, and they’ll also be debuting the ‘Settle Down’ video, helmed by veteran No Doubt director Sophie Muller (her previous credits include the clips for ‘Underneath It All,’ ‘Sunday Morning’ and ‘Simple Kind of Life’).

‘Push and Shove,’ which will mark No Doubt’s sixth studio LP, has been in the works for some time; the band announced it was entering the studio way back in May of 2010, with a release date originally projected for December of that year. But all that extra time hasn’t dampened their enthusiasm for the new material — check out their complete message to fans below.

Hi Everyone…

Hope you are sitting down because we’ve got some really big news to share with you! While adding the finishing touches to our new album we realized it was time to name it…so we did, and the name is…(drum roll please)…’Push and Shove’!!!

We also want to let you know that the first single from Push and Shove will be ‘Settle Down’ and we’ll be filming the video for it this week with our longtime friend and collaborator Sophie Muller. Very exciting!

We can’t wait to share it all with you. See you out there soon.

Oh and P.S…Webisode #2 is on its way. Stay tuned!
