Unfortunately, Binghamton On Tap had to take a year off in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic but it's back this year and we are taking it outdoors. Save the date and get your tickets when we head to the Broome County Fairgrounds in Whitney Point on Saturday, September 18th.

Once again, Binghamton On Tap will have over 100 different craft beers (and hard ciders) to sample and that's a lot of brews to try. I'm more of a hard cider kind of guy and since I like local, my fav would be Awestruck out of Sidney. Do you have a favorite beer?

New York's Favorite Beer

Recently a survey was done to determine the favorite beers by states in the USA. Not surprisingly, Budweiser was the most popular in many states with Coors Light and Corona not far behind.

New Yorkers prefer Stella Artois. I've tried the Stella Artois Cidre (a fancy way of saying "hard cider") but not the beer. Its brewing tradition goes back 600 years to 1366 in Belgium so it must be good.

I have to admit though, I thought New Yorkers would be more of a Heineken or Corona (at least before 2020) connoisseur.

Pennsylvania's Favorite Beer

I found Pennsylvania's most popular beer to be more of a surprise. My guess was Yuengling because it is brewed in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. According to the survey, Budweiser was chosen as the most popular.

The nice thing about Binghamton On Tap is that you can try so many different kinds of beer that you can decide for yourself what your favorite is and not rely on a silly survey.
