Today it was announced that the third season of Marvel's Runaways will also be its farewell. The show's ten-episode last season will air on Hulu starting December 13. Rest assured, the third season will provide a “natural ending point for the show,” according to Deadline.

Runaways follows a rag-tag group of six Los Angeles teenagers who band together upon learning that their parents are actual super-villains. The cast stars Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, and Allegra Acosta as the titular gang. Deadline also shares the synopsis for the last season:

"In Season 3, the Runaways frantically search for their captured friends Chase, Gert, and Karolina. The kids go head-to-head with an unstoppable enemy who has targeted Leslie — or more accurately, the child she’s carrying. Nico draws them all into a dark realm where its ruler, Morgan le Fay, played by Elizabeth Hurley, is much more nefarious than anyone the kids have yet to face."

The show has received critical praise for both its faithfulness to the comics and the changes it made to focus more on the villainous parent characters. Runaways marks one of the last live-action Marvel TV shows outside of Marvel Studios and the direct oversight of Kevin Feige. The only remaining shows are Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which will end with its 7th season on ABC, and the upcoming Hulu show Helstrom. With Feige stepping up as Marvel's chief creative officer, Disney+ is bound to get a whole new crop of shows to keep Marvel fans happy.
