Man Dies After Being Struck By Truck In Schuyler Lake

A man struck by a tractor-trailer in Schuyler Lake passed away only hours after being hit. According to New York State Police, the accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon on County Road 22 when the unidentified pedestrian walked into the path of the tractor trailer. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. State Police and Otsego County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating and they say the truck’s driver is cooperating.

Following an investigation which determined that the pedestrian entered the path of the truck, the tractor trailer driver has not been charged.
