New York State Senator Thomas Libous is concerned about the effects of closing the Greater Binghamton Health Center, formerly known the psychiatric center. The Binghamton lawmaker objects to a state plan to close the center, along with the Broome Developmental Center nearby.

Libous says he needs signatures on a petition he has started to keep approximately 700 jobs in the region and the mental health services the two facilities provide.

The petition already has nearly 4,000 names so far, but needs more. You can sign the petition by clicking the button below.
