Jerry Seinfeld Says He Thinks He’s on the Autism Spectrum [VIDEO]
Iconic comedian Jerry Seinfeld made a surprising revelation in a recent interview with NBC News anchor Brian Williams: He think he may be on the autism spectrum.
After learning more about autism spectrum disorders, Seinfeld began to identify with some of the hallmarks of the disorder.
"I think, on a very drawn-out scale, I think I'm on the [autism] spectrum," the 'Seinfeld' actor revealed.
When pressed about the markers of the disorder that made Seinfeld come to that realization, he explained:
"You're never paying attention to the right things. Basic social engagement is really a struggle," Seinfeld responded. "I'm very literal. When people talk to me and they use expressions, sometimes I don't know what they're saying."
Despite the struggles that may come with the disorder, the actor explained that he doesn't see it as a handicap.
"I don't see it as dysfunctional," he said, "I just see it as an alternate mindset."
