9 Of The Oldest and Most Historic Breweries in Upstate New York!
This list will make you thirsty.
Each of the nine breweries on this list is at least 25 years old, and in fact wo of them are more than 125 years old!
The craft brewery explosion has swept the Upstate New York region. With so many places, big and small, now making their own beers, we thought it would be nice to give a tip of the hat and a big "Cheerio" to those that have stood the test of time. Some of these places are in big cities like Buffalo and Rochester. Others on this list are in smaller, more rural places, like Lake Placid or even Cooperstown.
Not all are craft breweries per se. As you will see, the two that have been around since the 1800s are well-established nationally recognized name brands. Most of the others, though, have struck out on their own, in their home communities, and they all started small.
Still to be in any business for 25 years or more is something to crow about.
These breweries represent a selection of the oldest ones we found. We know there are others, perhaps many others. So if you know of a brewery near you, perhaps one that you frequent with your friends on a regular basis, please visit our Facebook page and share it with our readers. But, remember, we are looking for "older" breweries, lets say, 25 years old or more.
We can't wait to see the ones you recommend! "Bottoms up!"
