The arrestee, Troy C. Dibble Jr., faces multiple charges related to drugs and weapons. Dibble was already the subject of an active felony arrest warrant for Reckless Endangerment in the first degree.

The execution of the search warrant took place at 207 Fred Wilcox Road in the Town of Smithville during the afternoon hours. Deputies combed through the premises and discovered Dibble hiding inside one of the rooms.

Sheriff Cutting reports that this investigation took off in September after receiving a complaint alleging that Dibble had fired multiple rounds from a handgun into an occupied vehicle. As the inquiry unfolded, it became apparent to law enforcement that Dibble was conducting illicit drug sales from within his residence, leading to them obtaining a search warrant. During the operation, members of the Sheriff's Office seized significant amounts of Heroin, Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and various handguns.

After processing Dibble at the Chenango County Sheriff's Office for the active arrest warrant, drug offenses, and weapon charges, he was brought before the Centralized Arraignment. Subsequently, he was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility after posting bail in cash. Dibble's court appearance is scheduled for a later date to address the accumulated charges.

The accused, identified as Troy C. Dibble Jr., is a 37-year-old resident of Smithville, New York. The charges against Dibble are as follows:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (with intent to sell)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third-degree
  • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fourth-degree
  • Criminal Possession of a weapon in the third-degree
  • Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the second-degree
  • Criminal Nuisance in the second degree
  • Resisting Arrest

In addition, Dibble also faces charges related to the existing arrest warrant:
