The regular season for New York State High School football is winding down, with sectional, regional, and state playoffs to follow.

There are over 70 schools in Section IV from several counties in New York's Central and Southern Tier regions, as well as the Finger Lakes region.

Section IV class winners in 2024 included Elmira in Class AA, Horseheads in Class A, Maine-Endwell in Class B, Chenango Forks in Class C, Delaware Academy in Class D, and Trumansburg in 8-Man Football.

According to the Section IV Athletics website, sectional semifinals will be on November 17th and 18th, and sectional finals will be played on November 14th and 15th for all classes - AA, A, B, C & D.

Regional games will happen on November 21st and 22nd, followed by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association semifinals on November 28th and 29th, and the championship games on December 6th and 7th.

One regional final listed on the NYSPHSAA website is scheduled for Vestal High School on November 22nd, 6 p.m., between the winner of Section III and IV AA Classes.

According to the NYSPHSAA, the East semi-final sectional games will be played at Middletown High School, and the West semi-final sectional games will be played at Cicero-North High School.
