State police have arrested a Tompkins County man following a domestic assault investigation.

Authorities say 23-year-old Ezra Broadwell was charged with felony counts of kidnapping, rape and reckless endangerment.

Broadwell also faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

According to New York State Police, the incident started early Sunday morning and continued until Monday afternoon in a home in the Town of Danby.

Broadwell was arraigned in Danby town court and was sent to Tompkins County Jail without bail. He was ordered to reappear in town court on May 7.

Investigators say a second man was arrested in the case. They say 54-year-old Kenneth Broadwell of Ithaca has been charged with hindering prosecution, a felony. He was released on an appearance ticket.
