Two individuals responsible for illegally reselling puppies to unsuspecting consumers in Syracuse and Buffalo have been permanently barred from selling animals or becoming licensed pet dealers.
The state Attorney General’s office reached an agreement with an individual from Syracuse who bought puppies on Craig's List, kept them in poor condition and resold them illegally.
In another instance a court order was executed against a Buffalo woman who posed as a puppy breeder, but purchased puppies on line then sold them to consumers who reported fleas, filth and near-death health conditions in the pets.
The actions are part of the Attorney General’s ongoing Animal Protection Initiative.
