Two of the Cooperstown volunteer firefighters injured in last week’s fire in Middlefield are out of the hospital. According to AllOTSEGO, Jon Roach and Scott Monington were treated for burns at Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse with both released on Sunday.

Roach and Monington were given a hero’s welcome as they entered Cooperstown on a convoy that took them to their Middlefield homes. Two Middlefield firefighters were also hurt in the garage fire that resulted in a number of explosions.

To help the two firefighters with medical costs an online GoFundMe drive has been established for each. To contribute to Monington's GoFundMe drive, click here.
