Many film crews have been scouting Upstate New York for their films and series. Now HBO is coming into the small village of Catskill to shoot a reboot of a popular series. "Pretty Little Liars" will start filming soon in Catskill as HBO looks to reboot the series.

According to Hudson Valley 360, the HBO production team was scouting certain areas of the village. They are looking at Main Street, The Thompson Street Cemetary, and Cedar Street, a residential neighborhood. The houses on that street were built in the 1920s and the crew is looking at that area for filming. There is a meeting on Wednesday to discuss with residents what may be expected of them and their homes on Cedar Street. They are also interested in the courtroom and the school. Although they had to rule out the school because filming would still be set up when classes resume.

A resident of Cedar Street, Debra Samuels, said that HBO has been looking at potential houses to film. Hers was built in 1927 and fits with what they are looking for. Most residents were happy that HBO chose their village to film in.

This version of "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" will be about a series of tragic events that happened twenty years ago in a blue-collar town called Millwood and nearly tore the town apart. According to a press release from Warner Media, "A group of present-day, disparate teen girls find themselves tormented but an unknown assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago as well as their own."

HBO has not scheduled a date to start filming but they will begin sometime this summer. "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" series will air on HBOMax but no official date has been slated.
