After four years as Future for Oneonta Foundation's Chairman, Chris Kuhn has stepped down so that he can move to the midwest according to a release from FOF on Monday. The person stepping into that position is longtime Oneonta resident and entrepreneur, Alan Cleinman, owner and CEO of  Cleinman Performance Partners. Cleinman had been serving as FOF's Secretary.

Future For Oneonta Foundation has been around since 1982 and has given out more than $500,000 to a variety of Oneonta-related organizations and projects. The mission of FOF is simple: to improve the quality of life in Oneonta but Al Cleinman would like to see FOF do much more for the community and was very instrumental in the recent $50,000 grant award to the City of Oneonta to pave and expand the Susquehanna Greenway trail through Neahwa Park. That trail project is currently underway.

FOF has been most known over the years for helping to beautify the city with the "Properties of Merit" awards each year that go to residential homes and also businesses that have done a great job in making their properties look attractive but they have also given thousands of dollars out over the years to fund flowers on Main Street, in addition to school and other community programs that enhance Oneonta and make it a better place to live.

As FOF's new Chairman, Cleinman would like to take the philanthropic organization to new heights and says, “It is my hope that FOF, with the help of Oneonta’s citizens and supportive granting organizations, can get behind a number of transformational projects to help existing and new projects realize their vision".
