First Night Oneonta New Year’s Eve celebration is only thirteen days away. This alcohol free celebration focuses on the arts and provides varied entertainment for all ages.  Volunteers are needed for the parade to help with the puppets.  Volunteers will get a free button.  That is a fifthteen dollar value.

Parade participants are need as well.  Community groups are welcome.  Call David Hayes at 353-9000 to volunteer or to have your group march in the parade.  The evening is full of performances by dancers and musicians, children’s activities, and poetry readings. Parade at 5pm and fireworks at 10:15pm.

Buttons are on sale now at most downtown merchants. Just look for the First Night sign. $15 each and children twelve and under are free.
