First Night Oneonta has become a New Year’s Eve tradition for so many. This alcohol free celebration focuses on the arts and provides varied entertainment for all ages. Performances by dancers and musicians, children’s activities, parade, poetry readings, and fireworks all scheduled for tomorrow's event.

The community party kicks off with the parade at 5pm.  Starts on Grand Street and ends in front of the Foothills Performing Arts Center.  Community organizations are welcome to march in the parade.  Call David Hayes at 607-353-9000 to be in the parade or if you would like to volunteer.  Volunteers are still needed and you'll get a a free button in return.

David Hayes reminds us of the activities taking place:

Stop by the First Night Headquarters in the Main Street Walkway tomorrow during the event for buttons and for more information.  Buttons are $15 dollars each and kids twelve and under are free.  Don't forget, fireworks at 10:10pm.  Click here for a schedule of events.
