Fatal Car Accident in Chenango County; Driver Intoxicated

The Chenango Sheriff’s Office were called to a fatal car crash that occurred today in the Town of Greene.

At approximately 2:00 am on the 7th of March, a report was received stating that a car had struck a utility pole. The driver, Bradley Goodrich, 22, of Greene, the driver of a 2000 Chevy Cavalier, was airlifted to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City for treatment of internal injuries. The passenger, Brandon Archer, 23, also of Greene, was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive internal injuries.

Officials state that the driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash. An arrest warrant has been issued for Goodrich charging him with vehicular manslaughter second degree, a class D felony, and manslaughter second degree, a class C felony.

Goodrich will be arraigned upon his release from the hospital. Further charges may be pending.
