Extra State Funds Made Available for Pothole Repair
There's money to fix the craters found in the roadways of the region.
The state budget has $40 million to repair potholes across the Empire State. This past winter has been rough on the pavement, and this money will be added to the $438 million already planned for road repairs.
Counties will get $12 million for pothole work, towns get a share of about $15 million, villages will see part of $3.5 million, and the City of New York will receive $5.6 million.
Whole stretches of Interstate 88 west of Oneonta have one lane blocked off because of potholes and pavement failure.
