It still counts as a Florida Woman if it's a Woman in Florida, right?

A woman was arrested after being barred from boarding an airplane for being too intoxicated and then leading an officer on possibly the strangest pursuit of his career.

The woman, 32-year-old Chelsea Alston, was attempting to board a flight in the Orlando International Airport, but was unable to stand straight, had glassy eyes, and reeked of alcohol.

“I don’t want no beef. I’m just trying to go home and enjoy myself,” said Alston. She then said she only had two drinks before her flight, holding a beer in her hand as she talked to him.

Orlando Police officer Andrew Mamone told her, "Unfortunately it's their policy, you can't be that intoxicated."

"I'm not that 'incoxicated,'" Alston said, essentially convicting herself of being 'Incoxicated' with her slurred speech.

“It’s OK. You just need to go over to the terminal and sober up a little bit. Get another flight."

The situation continued when Alston cursed at the officer and waved her middle finger at him before riding off on her motorized suitcase.

“Oh man, that thing kind of goes fast,” Officer Mamone said as Alston rode the suitcase through the crowd of passengers, some of who began laughing.

Eventually, Mamone caught up with Alston in the airport's people mover after giving chase on his bicycle and told her it was time to leave the secured area.

She waited around for around 10 minutes, refusing to leave.

“I just need you to get on the other side of TSA,” said Mamone, “Follow me, and we’ll roll out together.”

After warning she could be arrested if she doesn't leave, Alston spat on her, so Mamone and another officer placed her in handcuffs. She spat on him again, this time hitting him in the eye.

“Stop spitting,” said the officer.

“I only spit one time,” replied Alston.

Officers carried her out of the airport and put her in the back of a squad car, where she tore out the headliner and defecated on the seat, causing around $1,200 in damage.

Alston went to Orange County Jail but was released on a $13,500 bond.
