Doubleday Field Special Postage Stamp Cancellation Date

The Village of Cooperstown and the Friends of Doubleday, in conjunction with the Cooperstown Post Office announced a special pictorial postmark cancellation event for the 100th anniversary of Doubleday Field,will take place on Saturday, May 23. It may be cancelled in person at the post office on Main Street in Cooperstown between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. or through mail-in requests to Postmaster Mary Powers Stamp collectors value cancelled postage from significant historical events.
