Destination Oneonta Seeking Virtual Halloween Costume Contest Entries

In an attempt to keep our community but still have some Halloween fun during this frightful season, Destination Oneonta is holding a Virtual Costume Contest. Normally, during the Oneonta Halloween parade, there is a costume contest. Since the parade has been cancelled this year over concerns of spreading the coronavirus, Destination Oneonta has come to the rescue to save this fun tradition and give people a chance to show off their creative costumes.

HERE'S HOW TO ENTER:

Post your individual costume photo(s) in the Destination Oneonta Virtual Costume Contest facebook event page. Make sure you include the costume category you want to be entered into. The different categories are below.

People's Choice Categories:
🎃 Age 3 and Under
🎃 Age 4-7
🎃 Age 8-12
🎃 Age 13+

Other Categories:
🎃 Best Group Costume
🎃 Most Creative
🎃 Most Original
🎃 Scariest
🎃 Funniest
🎃 Best Pet

👻 1st. 2nd, 3rd place People's Choice (based on most likes per category) Winners will be announced on November 1.

For the "People's Choice" age categories, here's a hint to get likes for your costume: share the event with your friends and ask them to like your photo(s). Other Categories Winners will be voted on by Destination Oneonta Board members and event sponsors. Those winners will be announced on November 3.

Entries can be submitted now through Oct. 31.
