Demolition work got under way yesterday at the site where the Susquehanna SPCA is building its new shelter on Rt. 28.  According to our news partner AllOTSEGO, a backhoe operator was tearing down the former Judith Brown CPA office on Route 28 south of Cooperstown. The shelter’s groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, August 24. Donations are still needed to cover the $3 million construction cost and more information is available at sqspca.org.
