A Hobart man was arrested earlier this week by Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies following a month long investigation into a burglary that occurred in the Village of Stamford.

Timothy Nodine, 24, has been charged with 2nd degree burglary and petit larceny. He is accused of breaking into a Village of Stamford residence in late December and stealing a television, Playstation and other property.

The investigation also led to the recovery of a rifle stolen during the burglary of a residence owned by the estate of a South Kortright resident who passed away during the summer of 2013. A handgun also stolen from this estate was previously recovered by investigators during the execution of a search warrant at the Hector Padilla residence in December. The investigation continues.

As a result of the recovery of the stolen rifle, Nodine was additionally charged with 4th degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Nodine was arraigned in the Town of Harpersfield Court and released on recognizance pending future court action.
