Cooperstown Police Department has issued a statement regarding today's shooting incident.

Barry M. Renert of Richfield Springs, New York, and Seminole County, Florida, is still at large and being sought by the Cooperstown PD, assisted by the Otsego County Sheriff's Department and the New York State Police. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Renart is said to have entered the 7th Inning Stretch memorabilia store and menaced an individual. Renart was dressed in all black, wore a mask, and was carrying a gun. The victim states that Renart is a former employee. Renart fled after the victim produced a firearm and shot at him.

Barry M. Renart (2/15/51) is a white male. Height: 6'2". Weight: 240lbs. Hair: Gray or shaved. Eyes: Green. He has numerous tattoos from the neck down, as well as two tear drops below his right eye.

He may be driving a black 2012 Chrysler 200 LX with the Florida registration # AFPK42.
