The picture above is why I participate in Relay For Life.  Tonight I'll be joining my sister's team at the Chenango County Fair Grounds in Norwich, New York.  To celebrate, honor, and remember those affected by cancer.

The American Cancer Society Bark For Life is this Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Fortin Park in Oneonta, New York.  This event is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

Get the family to start a new family tradition.  Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care is hosting the first annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Turkey Trot, November 28, 2013.  A great way to keep fit during the holidays.  Best part is, that proceeds will help fund Hospice’s “Perfect Gift” program which provides unique and lasting experiences for Hospice families.

Edmeston Central School National Honor Society, in cooperation with Bassett 5210, is happy to be hosting the second annual Turkey Trot this Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the school.  Registration will be begin at 7:30am and the Turkey Trot starts at 9am.  You can choose to participate in the 2K waddle or the 5K run.

This weekend is the 20th Anniversary Pitrun in Oneonta, New York.  The community pride and support behind this event is evident at the Pit Pasta Dinner and of course on race day.  All monies raised stay local to support youth programs and scholarships.

The volunteers have been working all year for this weekend event.  The Ricky J “Pit” Parisian race, named The Pit Run, marks it’s 20th Anniversary this weekend. The event includes a sanctioned 10k race, a 5k run, a 2 mile stroll and a kid’s fun run. A community celebration of Rick’s life and a fundraiser for local youth programs and scholarships, too too.
