Yesterday marked the 30th Anniversary for the movie and soundtrack, "Purple Rain".  This, in my opinion is one of the best movie soundtracks ever.  Who can deny the huge hits, "Let's Go Crazy", "I Would Die 4 U", "Darling Nikki", "When Doves Cry" and the feature ballad, "Purple Rain."

The Oneonta Theatre will rock on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 as Buckcherry takes the stage.  Special guest Fozzy, featuring professional wrestler, Chris Jericho, as lead singer.  Tickets are on sale now.

This Sunday, March 23 and 30, 2014, at the Oneonta Theatre, Konstantine Productions presents: "Project AvC" (Ackerman vs. Callaghan), a Ryan Edward Shuler picture.  This action packed, comedy was filmed in Oneonta, New York during the summer of 2013 with a cast and crew of 50 plus, all from Oneonta.

Orpheus Theatre will have two presentations of "Nunsence" this weekend at the Otesaga in Cooperstown, New York.  Friday evening, March 7, 2014 will be a show only at 7pm.  On Saturday, March 8, 2014 enjoy dinner and a show at 6:30pm.

This Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 7:30pm enjoy the music styling of Brother Sun.  The trio consists of Joe Jencks, Greg Greenway, and Pat Wictor, who hail from Chicago, Boston, and New York.   These talented singer-songwriters fuse folk, Americana, blues pop, jazz, rock, and acappella singing.

Cooperstown Central School presents "Les Miserables" at the Nichols J. Sterling Auditorium this Thursday through Sunday.  Students Joey Katz, senior, role of Javier, Jack Donnelly, junior, role of sailor, whipman, and student revolution, and Joseph Harmon, senior, role of Jean Valjean tell us about the production:

Orpheus Theatre will be holding auditions for their next production, 'Cats'.  This will be a big production.  The show includes four leads, seventeen supporting roles, and eight cameo spots and those are just the named cats.  Add in the dancers, and extras and you have a very large cast of kittens!  Auditions will be held October 16 and 18, 2013.

Orpheus Theatre will begin their Youth Theatre Troupe this Sunday, September, 29, 2013.  The program is for children and teens grades 1 to12 and offers both training and performing.  The workshop runs the entire school year and meets every Sunday.
