Big Chuck Says: “Campaign Mailers? Stop the Madness!!”

This photo shows my mail from yesterday, Monday June 18.  Along with my wife's daily Amazon package, three bills, a copy of Entertainment Weekly and some chocolate chip cookies left by a neighbor in my mailbox, these monster size campaign mailers were stuffed and wadded up and shoved into my mailbox.

These are not brochures, or postcards or single sheet information items.  These are large, over a foot long, heavy stock slick campaign mailers. They are a PAIN IN THE NECK.

Who reads these things?  How much do they cost?  Are they effective?  Do they work counter to the intended purpose?  I hate them and they go immediately into the circular file, unread (unless, of course I wait and photograph them for a website post like this).

Stop the madness, candidates....nobody reads this "junk" mail!
