Bassett Medical Center recently provided training to Otsego County Sheriff’s Office staffers on the National STOP THE BLEED program. Injury Prevention Coordinator and Trauma Program Assistant Becky-Ann Sears taught life threatening hemorrhage control techniques to recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene effectively. The course is designed to empower the student to make a life or death difference when a bleeding emergency occurs. The program slogan is “STOP THE BLEED, Save A Life”.
