
Baby Boomer Alert: Oneonta Icon Muriel Ross, “The Health Bar Lady,” Has Died
Muriel L. Ross, known to generations as the "Bresee's Health Bar Lady," has passed away.
Known for her friendly smile, her bright red lipstick and her almost photographic memory, Ross was featured in Collier's Magazine when the periodical came to Oneonta in November of 1949 to do a full color, multi-page spread on the Bresee's Department Store.
She was a popular waitress for decades at the store and was known by many far and wide. R.I.P. "Health Bar Lady!"
