As a lifelong Capital Region sports fan who has just so happened to be in radio for most of my professional life the chance to “join the Team” pun intended was the kind of offer I’ve been dreaming of. Growing up a Yankees, Knicks and Raiders fan(a punishment I share with my beautiful daughter Ella) I’ve felt the pain and success that comes with diehard fandom. Luckily for me my friends that love the Giants have adopted me so I have a reason to watch football after the Raiders have been eliminated EARLY every season for the last 10 plus years. I’m excited to talk sports and enjoy multiple happy hours with all the sports fans of the Cap Region…even the Red Sox fans.

Voice Of Jets Thinks Sam Darnold Will Get His Chance In New York [INTERVIEW]
The New York Jets are beginning the Robert Saleh era. The new head coach was highly sought after and chose the Jets. It still feels like this might really be the beginning of the Joe Douglas era too. Even though Douglas has been the Jets general manager since right after the NFL Draft in 2019 this feels like the first year he's really able to make the moves he wants to. What move will Douglas and Saleh make at quarterback? Will the move be no move at all and to give Sam Darnold one more chance to prove he's the right man for the Jets? Voice of the Jets Bob Wischusen thinks Darnold could get that chance.
Dave Gettleman And Jason Garrett’s Future With The Giants Depend On Daniel Jones [INTERVIEW]
In a pretty wild NFL offseason the New York Giants have remained fairly quiet. Believe it or not that's a good thing. The Giants finally know who their head coach is and feel good enough about their general manager, quarterback and offensive coordinator to go into the 2021 season with them in place. How long will the good times last for Big Blue? New York News Days Giants beat reporter Pat Leonard forecasts the Giants potential offseason moves and just how hot Dave Gettleman and Jason Garrett's seat's will be this season?
Knicks’ Julius Randle Evolves From Trade Bait To All-Star [INTERVIEW]
It's been almost a month since the last time we had Newsday's Steve Popper on the show. In that time the Knicks have gone 7-4 and Julius Randle has become a real candidate to start in the NBA All-Star Game on March 7th. Popper seemed less than optimistic at that point about the Knicks talent both now and in the near future. Have the Knicks and more directly Forward Julius Randle showed enough in the last few weeks to change Popper's opinion of them?
Could This 3 Time Defensive Player Of The Year Be Headed To New York?
Just when you think the Houston Texans couldn't be any more dysfunctional, they release JJ Watt. Watt met with the owners of the team and asked for his release and the team granted his request.
New York Sports Wagering Should Be Mobile By September [Interview]
The long-awaited opportunity to enjoy mobile sports betting here in New York may finally be here, or at least close. Governor Andrew Cuomo recently said that he was on board with legal betting as an opportunity to make some money and decrease the state's massive debt. How close are we really? Gaming Law and Sports Betting Attorney Daniel Wallach thinks mobile betting could be here as soon as September if one last hurdle is cleared.
Dead Balls Could Mean Less Home Runs For Yankees And Mets
The ongoing debate about "Juiced Balls" in Major League Baseball has taken an interesting turn after The Athletic was made aware of a private memo in which the deadening of baseballs was confirmed.
Yankees Trade With Red Sox Is Most 2020 Thing of 2021
The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox trading is something that just doesn't happen. I thought when we got past 2020 things were supposed to start making sense?! To call the Yanks and the Sox rivals is like calling the Hatfields and McCoy's disgruntled neighbors. This is like Fucillo saying that Mohawk is HUGE or seeing a member of the Golub family that owns Price Chopper shopping at Hanneford. So what must the Yankees think of relief pitcher Adam Ottavino since they're almost giving him to Boston?
Mahomes Needs To Clear Concussion Protocol To Face Bills
The Buffalo Bills are headed to their first AFC Championship game since 1994 where they'll face the Kansas City Chiefs. Fun fact the Bills beat the Chiefs that year 30-13 but I digress. This time around the entire outlook of the game hinges on whether or not Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes will be cleared to play or not.
This Fired Head Coach Perfect For The Jets
I can hear the fans of the New York Jets now screaming how badly they don't want former Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson as their new coach. So I realize what I'm about to say will ruffle some feathers (eagle pun intended) but Doug Pederson might be the perfect candidate for the new head coach of Gang Green.
Buffalo Bills Kickoff NFL Playoffs
NOBODY CIRCLES THE WAGONS LIKE THE BUFFALO BILLS and nobody kicks off the 2020 - 2021 NFL Playoffs like the Bills and the Bills Mafia! For the first time there will be six games on Wild Card Weekend and the all six start right here in New York Saturday 1 pm when the Bills host the Indianapolis Colts.
