Area United Way Sets Goal And Honors Local Supporters

Just under 50 people attended the The United Way of Delaware and Otsego County's campaign kick-off breakfast at The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown where the fundraising goal of $325,000 for the 2015 campaign was announced. This goal is the same as last year's goal. Also yesterday, Melinda Murdock, Principal at Riverside Elementary School in Oneonta and Candace Vancko, President of SUNY Delhi were named recipients of the Alan Donovan Award. And the first Albrecht Executive Director of Excellence Award was presented to Cheri Albrecht. Albrecht retired as executive director from Opportunities for Otsego and has served as interim executive director at Community Arts Network of Oneonta, formerly called the Upper Catskill Community Council of the Arts, the Oneonta Family YMCA and the local United Way.
