April 23 Update on COVID-19 Cases in Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego Counties
The Chenango County Department of Health reported yesterday that two people with COVID-19 have died due to the illness. The total number of cases in that county are at 79 for the second day in a row. As of yesterday afternoon, Delaware County Public Health reported a total of 65 confirmed coronavirus cases. Yesterday, Otsego County Department of Health reported 57 total COVID-19 cases with a total of 4 deaths in the county from coronavirus.
According to the NYS Department of Health, there are currently 257,216 cases of confirmed COVID-19 in the state with 5526 new cases confirmed statewide yesterday.
Please note that the number of confirmed cases does not reflect the actual number of cases because of limited testing for the virus.
