Team LeBron Still King of All Stars 170-150

Lebron James is still the King and Giannis is the heir to the throne, both teams combined for 320 points as Team LeBron defeated Team Durant 170-150 in the 70^th All Star game.

In spite of one years’ worth of a global pandemic, the NBA All Stars put on a fantastic show last night, with amazing dunks and shots, along with a series of skills challenge.

Indiana Pacers Domantas Sabonis won the Skills Challenge. Portland’s Anfernee Simons won the slam dunk, and the three-point shooting champion went to (did you have any doubts) Stephen Curry.

Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo won the MVP trophy for the second straight year with a perfect shooting percentage 16 for 16 and 25 points.

There were even a few New York Knicks siting’s with forward Julius Randle playing in his first all-star game (4 points) and competing in the skills challenge.

Knicks rookie Obi Toppin competing in the slam dunk challenge, and made to the finals but lost to Anfernee Simons.

Bradley Beal led the Team Durant with 26 points as Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons were unable to play due to covid protocol.

I enjoy the skills challenge more than the actual game itself, and the banter from the commentators that includes Shaq, Kenny Smith, and Reggie Miller.

The season is now half over and teams are starting to rise to the competition, in the eastern conference the Philadelphia 76ers (1^st) and the Brooklyn Nets (2^nd) fighting for that first-place spot, and the New York Knicks are the fifth seed in the east right now with 35 games to go.

The western conference is being lead by the surprise team of the year, the Utah Jazz at 27-9, 2.5 games ahead of the number two seed Phoenix Suns, followed by last years champions the Lakers in the number three spot.

Games will resume this week as things will undoubtable heat up.
