Maroon 5 frontman, Adam Levine, was driving around California when fans and paparazzi spotted his new hairstyle which left fans... confused.

Levine sported a mohawk, which he previously debuted on season 16 of NBC's The Voice, but the new addition to the mohawk included cornrows. Fans had a lot of opinions on the new hairstyle, most of which were negative. Social media dubbed the new hairstyle the "cornhawk." After pictures surfaced of him driving his car around town with a brunette "cornhawk," he soon dyed his hair back to bleached blonde, still sporting the "cornhawk."

The 40-year-old has been known to experiment with different hairstyles throughout the years. Levine previously had a bleached blonde phase, buzzed look, among countless others, but this newest look may have gone too far.

This new look comes after the season premiere of The Voice on Monday (September 23) night. Season 17 of the hit singing competition show debuted to solid ratings and viewers. This marked the first season where the original coach of sixteen seasons, was not present. Levine announced that he will be leaving the show in May, with his departure reportedly costing him $30 million.
