Generation Opportunity, a national, non-partisan organization advocating for ages 18-29 has announced its unemployment numbers for December, specific to ages 18-29.

The report shows an overall unemployment rate of 11.5 percent. For African Americans, the rate was 22.1 percent, while Hispanics were 12.2 percent, and women had an unemployment rate of 10.4 percent.

The report showed that 2012 marked another year in which millennials were unable to find real opportunities for which they were trained. This means that it was another year just scraping by, falling behind on student loans, living with mom and dad, sending out hundreds of resumes, and filling out numerous job applications.

The national unemployment rate was 7.8 percent in 2012.
