12 Best Albums of 2015
The year in music is over. Well, almost.
While some of pop's more reliable chart heavyweights mostly sat this round out — Katy Perry went on tour, Lady Gaga slashed throats, Taylor Swift welcomed everyone and their mother to the stage, Rihanna designed socks or something — an exciting crop of top pop talent emerged from the alternative and indie spheres, as well as a few legendary comebacks.
Earlier this month, you, our dear readers, voted for Marina And The Diamonds' Froot as your favorite album of 2015. Now, it's our turn to reveal which albums we've loved the most. (Spoiler Alert: Marina's totally on our Best Of list, too.)
These are our personal picks, arranged in alphabetical order — not in order of "best"-ness. Why? Because pitting Grimes against Carly Rae Jepsen against One Direction is arbitrary as hell, and we'd rather show our appreciation for all of these truly worthy records at once.
And so, without further ado, these are our Best Albums of 2015. (That is, unless Rihanna pulls a fast one on all of us and drops ANTI before the New Year.)
