Well, I asked the question.  And more than 3,000 of you visited the post I put up.  The answer is YES...Lucille Ball and her family were frequent guests at Chenango Lake in Norwich!

Some of the dozens of comments from my listeners were:

Wilma Gray:  "I saw a photo of Lucy and Desi and the kids at the camp on the lake."

Peggy Button Hillis:  "I checked with my sister and she said Lucy had a house up by the big AT&T tower at the lake."

Krista Satyanathan:  "Yes she did.  My uncle did electrical work at her house.

Paul Wilson:  "She sure did, Big Chuck.  Right under the AT&T tower.  It was big news when she was in town."

David Vermilya sent along an aerial view of the house (tennis courts and all!): https://www.google.com/maps/@42.5789305,-75.4325792,131m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en

Judi Smith Van Why:  "She sure did.  Right up the road from our own house."

Betty Jean Wilcox:  "Right at the top of the hill by the phone tower.  Us kids used to drive up to see it."

Patricia Scott:  "She stayed at the home of Melvin Eaton, who was the president of Norwich Pharmaceuticals which his late father R. D. Eaton was instrumental in forming."

The house she used to visit is for sale!  Here is the real estate listing!

(Scroll down on realtor's page: it is listing 8)

So, naturally...I WENT OUT TO SEE IT FOR MYSELF!!
