After just two days, the defense in the Peter Wlasiuk murder trial in Chenango County court rested its case.

Joyce Wordon, who looked after the couple’s kids, told the jury that Peter was mad about Patricia’s drinking the night she died and caused an argument between the two.

She also said peter told her on one occasion that he lied about Patricia swerving to avoid a deer, and said she purposely drove into Guilford Lake.

The defensed asked for a dismissal from Judge Joseph Cawley, but the motion was denied. Closing arguments are today in Chenango County court in Norwich.
