Three area municipalities will be sharing in announced $23 million in state grants to support essential drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The grants were awarded to the city of Norwich and the towns of Oxford and Roxbury and are part of a $255 million statewide investment, funded through the Water Infrastructure Improvement Act, as well as the new Intermunicipal Water Infrastructure Grants Program. Norwich will receive just over $3.2 million will Oxford was awarded around $2.5 million with Roxbury getting a total of $2.6 million for two separate water districts.
