Do you remember when Gary Cherone was the lead man of Van Halen?  He was the third singer for the band (1996-1999) after David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar.  On this day, October 31,1999, in music history, Gary Cherone left Van Halen to form the modern rock band, Tribe of Judah.

Cherone is probably best known for fronting the multi-platinum rock band Extreme.  Smash hits include "Hole Hearted" and "More Than Words".    This talented singer had the privilege of taking lead for Queen in 1992 for the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert.  Not to shabby.  Check out Extreme's worldwide #1 smash hit:
