The National Weather Service determined Saturday that an EF1 tornado touched down in Bainbridge Friday night.
Winter storm Nemo is expected to drop over a foot of snow across upstate New York over the next 24 hours. Make sure you are up to date on the latest forecasts and closings and be sure to stay safe if you are forced to travel.

UPDATE 2:05PM: National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touchdown in Metropolitan New York. A tornado swept through Breezy Point in Queens, N.Y about an hour ago. Power is out there and damage is being assessed. A TORNADO WATCH has just been issued for Otsego and Delaware Counties until 10:00PM. At 2:05PM gusty winds are being reported thr0ughout our listening area. Check back here for more updates as they become available.
UPDATE 12;15PM: National Weather Service reports a long and strong line of heavy thunderstorms moving in to our listening area later thais afternoon from the west. Currently they are located just west of I-81. The storm came through Buffalo this morning causing power outages and structural damage in the downtown area. There are reports of a tornado touching down in Buffalo but this has not been confirmed by meteorologists at this time.
