Get your Santa hat ready and your jingle bells because this weekend in Oneonta promises to be filled with plenty of holiday cheer thanks to Destination Oneonta.

Downtown was full of excitement and holiday cheer last night at the Tree Lighting Ceremony.  Singers, dancers, gingerbread displays, horse drawn carriage rides, cookies, cocoa,  Santa, oh the list goes on and on.

Be sure to head to Main Street Oneonta, N.Y. on December 4 for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Winter Wonderland Gingerbread Contest.  Plus the Holiday Story Walk will be featured.

It could be the most beautiful evening in Oneonta!  Head to Main Street, Oneonta on Thursday, December 4th, 5:30pm-8:30pm, for what promises to be an evening filled with music and smiles.  It is the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.

The honorable Oxford Village Mayor, Terry Stark, will be dusting off his top hat for one of Oxford’s grandest events of the year, the holiday season kick-off.  You are invited to join the Mayor in LaFayette Park for the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, Sunday, November 30, at 5 p.m.

Tonight is the annual tree lighting ceremony in Muller Plaza, Main Street, Oneonta, New York.  From 5pm to 8pm enjoy the festive environment with singers, dancers, music, carriage rides, Santa and his Reindeer. Tree lighting at 6:00 pm.

Another great holiday tradition is the Main Street Oneonta Gingerbread Contest.  This year's theme is "My Favorite Things".  Each submission is an original gingerbread design created to fit the theme.  Here is the schedule to drop off your entry:
